Is there a free consultation available?
Yes, we offer a free consultation. Choose your method of contact below! This allows us to meet and for you to assess if we are a good fit! It also lets you ask questions and get any information you may want before your first session.
What are the reasons to not use my insurance for mental health treatment?
Using insurance for payment involves a third party (the insurance company). It requires that you be diagnosed and enters that information into your permanent medical record. The insurance company sets the number of visits you may have and may audit your records.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for cancellation. If you cancel after that time, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $75. We allow one late cancellation without notice per year without incurring the fee.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! Currently we are in-network providers in Michigan only for Aetna, Cigna, United, Oxford and Oscar and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. In-network for California insurers COMING SOON! We also can work with your insurer to provide Out of Network (OON) mental health services. We work through Thrizer to handle the billing and administrative work for OON benefits.
How is my insurance payment handled?
We use Headway to handle billing and administrative work so that we can place all of our focus on working together. The Headway team will reach out with an email to help you to set up your account and to add your insurance and payment details. You will see you cost per session ahead of time and can check your benefits through the client portal.
What if I decide to go private pay and not involve my insurance company?
You will be billed the morning of the scheduled session (before the session occurs) through the secure client portal maintained by our practice.
